About collocations.org
This website (collocations.org) was originally created for my personal use. My work involves writing in English, and there have been countless times where I wasn’t sure which word or words should be used before and/or after the word I wanted to use. When I tried a combination of words, I could sense that it did not sound right, but I had no idea how to correct it. I did not know the collocations of the word.
When I heard and learned about collocations dictionaries, I knew they are to help answer my questions regarding which words go with which. Finally, I found a path towards more natural-sounding English. This has always been a challenge because I am not a native English speaker.
In the past, I searched on Google to find collocations since I don’t have a physical copy of any collocations dictionary. Results varied, and sometimes it takes longer than expected to find the right website with the correct collocations.
So, I eventually came up with my own website where I can always look up collocations of a word. I also made all pages responsive so that I can easily access the website whether I am on a desktop or on mobile.
I would like to share collocations.org with the world and hope that it will help in your journey to better English usage. Let’s learn and improve together!
